Arizona Veterans Services - Tucson, Az

The project is the second of its kind in the State of Arizona. The ±130,000 square foot LEED facility will house up to 120 occupants with accommodations such as single dwelling units, activity rooms, common dining areas, rehabilitation facility and outdoor courtyard space. Veteran Services of Arizona awarded the $28 million Design-Build construction to Haydon Building Corporation/SDB Inc. Joint Venture.

Construction of 10,915 SF Distribution Center. Work included a CMU construction type building, with loading docks, truck well and site development.

Arizona Veterans Home Dining Room Expansion
4141 N. 3rd St. Phoenix, AZ 85012

Dining room expansion for Arizona State Veterans. Constructed a new two story addition adjacent to the existing dining rooms (approximately 1,900 SF per floor) for a total of 3,800 SF in the existing courtyard. This project consisted of modifications to mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems to expand existing systems for the new area. Modifications to the existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems were required.

Main St. BRT Bus Station
Mesa, AZ

SDB was selected by Valley Metro to install 26 stations, transit signal priority, queue jump lanes, and dynamic message display signs along the new Bus Rapid Transit route in Mesa, Arizona. The BRT functions as a 12.5 mile long extension to the light rail system.

Griffiths Bay Building
Gilbert, AZ 85234

Construction of a new ground up facility to house multiple tenants in an open bay occupancy.

Boys & Girls Clubs
Jerry Colangelo Branch

SDB served as the General Contractor for this 25,000 SF ground-up youth recreational facility. Featuring a full size basketball court and gymnasium, the facilities also include an outdoor sports field and basketball court with scoreboards, game room, cafeteria with state-of-the-art kitchen, lockers and administration offices.

Corazon Treatment Facility
Phoenix, AZ

Existing dwelling units were demolished and removed to make room for this ground-up expansion project. The 17,000 SF building houses patients on the second floor with administrative offices, common areas and a kitchen on the first floor.

Cigna Healthcare Tenant Improvement
Gilbert, AZ

SDB was contracted to build out a 3,525 SF tenant improvement for CIGNA Healthcare at the Copper Point Center. The space was delivered in gray shell condition. Improvements added were 3 offices, 4 examination rooms, waiting room, phlebotomy lab, clean room, reception desk, medical records storage room, nurse station and a pharmacy.
