This mixed use classroom and office building extension at the Chandler-Gilbert Campus reflects the move to integrate schools into our communities. The 5,991 square foot ground up project was awarded a LEED Silver Certification based on buildings high level of energy efficiency and numerous sustainability measures. Solar details on this project included a design of solar panels over the main entrance to provide necessary shade and functionality as an alternative energy resource. Other project features include the use of natural lighting, highly efficient LED lighting, a photo voltaic array that produces 15,000kw of power annually, and the use of recycled building products.
