The ultimate goal at the ASU Nursing and Health Innovation Instruction Kitchen was to redesign the existing office space and create a cooking classroom with a mock restaurant for the students. The scope of work included reworking major components such as mechanical, electrical, sprinkler and plumbing systems. In addition to reworking several components, the existing post-tension floor design required special attention to detail, including x-raying the floor to locate tension cables and coring through the floor to run the new services required for the new state-of-the-art kitchen equipment.
