Angie Spagnuolo Schmidt
Angie Schmidt serves on the executive leadership team as SDB’s CEO. She is responsible for several internal and external business services, serves on the governance committee, and performs as the corporate officer with oversight on the strategic growth initiatives in alignment with operational excellence. In addition to corporate duties, Angie leads the company’s philanthropic activities and community engagement programs. Outside of SDB, she has served and led various educational, civic, foundational and private boards and committees. Prior to joining SDB, Angie served as the President of a prominent Phoenix-based company.
Ed Riccio has been with SDB since 1999 serving as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. A Certified Public Accountant, his background includes auditing construction industry clients bringing value to his responsibilities in oversight and process implementation for finance & accounting, investment analysis, insurance, risk management and compliance. Ed also serves in a corporate treasury role and a liaison for legal affairs. In addition to his certifications, he has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia and a Master’s of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.
As a 30-year veteran managing corporate programs and workplace teams, Craig Schmidt is located in SDB’s corporate office and his operational responsibility includes project controls and corporate risk analysis ensuring the execution of the company’s core values and vision across all operations nationally. He also oversees SDB’s sustainability program which provides employees and clients with enhanced knowledge on all projects, including those seeking LEED certification. Following the blueprints set forth by the Construction Industry Ethics & Compliance Initiative, Craig ensures compliance and ethics while reinforcing SDB’s culture built on integrity.
Jeff Dalton is responsible for the firm’s Building Division which provides general contracting with expertise in CMAR, Design Build, and traditional Design Bid Build in the commercial, institutional, and industrial markets. Jeff serves as a member of the SDB leadership team focusing on providing exceptional project results for both existing and new clients. Mr. Dalton has over 28 years of experience serving as a Vice President for national general contractors.
As the Chairman of SDB, Inc., Dominic oversees and monitors all aspects of the company. Dominic has been in the construction industry since 1965 and founded SDB in 1980. He has been recognized for his contributions to the industry by being awarded City of Tempe and State of Arizona Small Business Man of the Year in 1992 and 1993 respectively. Dominic is a founding member of the Alliance for Construction Excellence (ACE) at Arizona State University and a supporter of the Del E Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University.
