World War II Dedication Ceremony at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza
On December 7th, 2013 thousands of people filled Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza in Phoenix, Arizona to attend the World War II "Guns to Salute the Fallen" Memorial. The memorial consists of one original gun barrel from both the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri. The USS Arizona gun represents the start of WWII with the attack on Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri gun represents the end of WWII as the ship in which the Japanese signed the unconditional surrender.
David Dopp - Safety & QA/QC Director
As the Safety Director, David leads the implementation and continuous improvement of SDB's safety management programs. David mitigates risk by training, coaching and mentoring operations leaders, safety professionals, clients and subcontractors in the tools and requirements of SDB's safety program. David effectively communicates and collaborates with central leadership, regional operations, project management teams and subcontractors to ensure safety strategies and programs align with regulatory expectations and policies, ensuring that SDB maintains safety performance standards and specifications. David's diligent efforts have earned SDB an impressive safety rating of .47.
